WHAT TASAWWUF (SUFISM) TEACHES YOU IN ESSENCE

التصوف لا يُعَلّمُك الصلاة ..التصوف يعلمك الخشوع في الصلاة.

Tassawuf does not teach you Salat, It teaches you piety in Salat.

...التصوف لا يعلمك كيف تغسل وجهك في الوضوء ... التصوف يعلمك كيف تغسل قلبك من الكبر والمكابرة ... من الرياء والنفاق ... من العُجب والغرور ... من النفاق والحسد

Tassawuf does not teach you how to wash your face when performing ablution, It teaches you how to wash your mind from megalomania and every acts that makes one feel big, show-off, hypocrisy, pomposity and vanity...from hypocrisy and envy.

التصوف لايعلمك الترهيب التصوف يعلمك الترغيب

Tassawuf does not teach you intimidation, it teaches you to be desirous.

التصوف لا يعلمك التكفير والتنفير والتحقير...... التصوف يعلمك الاحترام والتفكير و التوقير

Tassawuf does not teach you transgression, alienating and abasement; it teaches you respect, positive thinking and reverence.

التصوف لا يعلمك اللؤم والنقمة التصوف يعلمك الرأفة و الرحمة والحكمة...

Tassawuf does not teach you to be “mean” and “to course”; it teaches you clemency, mercy and wisdom.

التصوف لا يعلمك التشدد والتنطع ...التصوف يعلمك الرفق واللين ....

Tassawuf does not teach you to "force", it teaches you to be humane and soft-minded

التصوف لا يعلمك الحقد و الإنتقام التصوف يعلمك الإحسان وكظم الغيظ والسلام......

Tassawuf does not teach you hatred and revenge; it teaches you charity, anger-management, and peace.

التصوف لا يعلمك الصد والقطع والجفاء .....التصوف يعلمك الوصل والود والوفاء.......

Tassawuf does not teach how to repel and cutting staleness, it teaches to association, Friendliness, unity.

التصوف لا يُعلمك إطالة اللحية وتقصير القميص ... التصوف يعلمك إطالة حضور القلب أثناء الذكر ، وتقصير الخواطر والأفكار عن ما سوى الله ...

Tassawuf does not teach “beard lengthening" and "shortening of shirt", it teaches how to “prolong the presence of the heart during Zikr" and "shortening of thoughts of what is not Godly”

التصوف يعلمك البحث عن النوايا والمقاصد من الأقول والأفعال التي تجترحها في كل وقت وحين ... وقس على ذلك ...

Tassawuf teaches you how to research about intentions and thoughts of “sayings and deeds” [Quran, Ahadith, and Qiyas] and regurgitate on it every time and moment and further develop on it.

التصوف مَظلومٌ من قوم يُرَكّزون في عباداتهم على الظاهر ، بينما الباطن خَوَاءٌ ، خَلاَءٌ ، هَوَاء ...

Tassawuf is hidden/concealed from the group that focused on their worship of Allah in the openness whereas in the hidden hollowness, it is a wide space.

التصوف هو ذوق حلاوة ثمار العبادة ... " ومَن ذاق عرف ، ومَن عرف اغترف "..

Tassawuf is "tasting the sweet fruits of worship", and whoever taste it knows it, and whoever knows it admits it.

التصوف فهو فقه الباطن ، في مقابل فقه الظاهر ...

Tassawuf is the "hidden understanding", in the exchange to the "apparent understanding".

التصوف هو فقه أعمال القلوب ، في مقابل فقه أعمال الجوارح

Tassawuf is the understanding of the "works of the mind", in the exchange to the understanding of the "works in the outside".

END NOTE

This is the literal interpretation of the above stanzas.

It is worthy of note that every essence, entity or concept in the universe are like body of iceberg which just only the tip is visible in this physical.

Tasawwuf as a practice endows one the ability to comprehend the magnitude of inner dimensions.

Tasawwuf is a path which enables one to "know", "admit" and comprehend the difference between the physical and the reality.

Most cases, what is physically observable is not the reality.

Tasawwuf enables one to be able to comprehend the distinctions between human and divine perception.
